Like a full-featured VNC client + lightweight Finder + cloud-based file management. I think a future iPad with more powerful specs will be able to handle this kind of desktop -> iOS portability.
Great info about Federico’s iPad usage. I just bought Omnifocus for the iPad. $40 is a bit steep, but it seemslikeit’sthe way to go, even if I don’t pony up for the Mac version.
I would love to see better integration between my Macs and my iPad in version 2. A simple Finder app would be perfect. I asked today how people were accessing their Macs from their iPads, and, more importantly, how they were interacting with them once they were in.
It is for this reason I refuse to spend even one moment too many in a job I do not like or doing something that I do not enjoy. The work we do should add value to our lives in the form of growth, compassion or fulfillment.
Oldie but a goodie. Spend more time with your friends, family or yourself this week. Be good. Enjoy the moments. Think you’re “too busy”? Get over it. Try to remove that phrase from your vocabulary.
Then, remove the tasks/jobs that are making you too busy to enjoy a few meaningful moments.
As I’ve acquired more responsibilities, I’ve also become more careful about keeping track of everything I need to accomplish, and not letting myself get behind. I always try to end the day feeling like there is more work behind me than ahead.
Nerds aren’t typically bitter; they’re just well informed. Snark from nerds is a leading indicator that I’m wasting their time and when I find it, I ask questions until I understand the inefficiency so I can change it or explain it.
This is a wonderful article. Whether you are a nerd or not, please read (and read some of his other posts) so you have a better understanding of how we’re wired.
