Drobo adds Firewire 400/800 support and up to 16TB. Damn them! I was just chatting with Aaron about this deal yesterday, which I thought was a great deal for a Drobo, but now they’ve done what I wanted them to do last year with the addition of Firewire.
This is very tempting, but I’ll have to wait and see…I need to sell off my 4 external drives and pick this baby up!

FatWallet (awesome place if you’re a deal junkie like me) is giving away a laptop valued up to $4000.
I listed a Macbook Air maxed out with the Solid State Drive and my total was over $3900…while this is not my ultimate laptop, it’s the best bang for my buck (or lack there of) in this kind of deal, and I’d love to have one of these babies.
My ultimate laptop would probably be a 12″ Macbook Air, or the return of the 12″ PowerBook, but with a large SSD and way more powerful. The ultimate travel machine for photography, writing, etc.
